No one should be untouchable if value is there, although clearly some players are more untouchable than others. But using draft capital to get into the middle of round one is a great idea.

I can 💯 confirm the Calgary Flames will draft at number 6. Everyone thinking Sharks will trade the 2nd overall pick lol Mike Grier is entertaining offers but no one will pay the price asking and the reason being because Mike wants Stenberg its not even debatable.
With that being said there is a very and I mean very big chanve when Conroy locks in the 6th pick he will then look to move forward and that being move up and he has the ammo being picks to do it.
This draft is very interesting Ive scouted many of the players in the 26 class and I beleive there will be players in the 2nd rd that could be absolute steals and with the Flames having four 2nd rd selections it could end up being our best draft to date
Go hard after Florida pick. Overpay. They are still in their window & whoever they get at 9 wont be ready for a few years. Their pipeline is thin. They wont be picking again in first round until 2029. Coleman(Im sure Florida is on his trade list) give them 2026 Vegas pick, give them Vegas 2027 pick or Colorado 2028 1st, 51 & 55. Huge over pay but we can walk away with 2 pretty darn good players with 6 & 9 & we would still have 35 & 36.
If you asked the scouting staff at the beginning of the year, if they had a chance to draft Lawrence, they would have been all over it. Lawrence at 6.
