This is exciting, I'm back as an Avs fan! MacFarland was the problem, the team has been going downhill since the cup and that's when MacFarland took over as GM. He made terrible moves including Mikko, that was a devastating trade. Things will improve with Joe back as GM!

Guys I know I’m saying this late but if Vegas beat us a year before then the next year after we lose to Vegas, we win the cup. It happened in 2022 because we lost in 2021.

The avs are either sabotaging their franchise or else making necessary changes for us preparing for next season.
I do think the avs are nearing the end of their era and it's sad. I did love the regular season, but if we are going to make it far in the playoffs, we need to make some big changes. It's just not quite enough.
I could see Nelson, Toews, Colton, and Nichishkin as being the most likely to be gone next year. I don't think I've ever seen Toews do anything useful to be honest, and he has been the reason a lot of breakaway goals have been scored on us.

Gavin, you are absolutely delusional with your comments about CMACTASTROPHE – he was an Assistant GM up until 2022 when he was handed the keys and what did he do? He traded talent, traded youth, didn't fix a Goalie problem when he was clearly aware of the issue leading into the trade deadline July 2024…Gavin, you really ought to rethink your CMACTASTROPHE comments. CMACTASTROPHE should have been fired at least 2 years ago…so the only thing I would call out is that they waited just two years to long.
