  1. I’ll be real it’d sting less to see Freddie win it. This is his 5th season in Carolina, I’m so glad he’s finally got his chance. Marner deserves to win too, but it’d def break the fandom way more and lead to FAR more mockery from the rest of hockey.

  2. Anyone who paid attention to Carolina after the Olympic break wasn’t surprised to see Freddie start for the playoffs. Bussi has a fantastic first half but aside from the last couple games of the year he had a horrendous stretch after the Olympic break wasn't

  3. Wow absolute homers for the canes huh? Excited to come back to this later this week.

Hart has 200 more saves than Freddy

Canes have a better D core? What??

You guys couldn’t even say we have the edge in high end talent. You said you almooooost wannnnnaaa maybeeeee say it but but what about the stankoven line?!

    Marner. Eichel. Stone.

God I hope we win this.

  4. Either team in 4 or 6 cus T-Mobile arena was built for cup raising..
I strongly lean Vegas.. cus I can picture them running away with it, but can't picture canes doing so

  5. Canes want it more, have less pressure, can deal with pressure better. Torts will blow up after a losing game or 2. Hall > Marner. Marner finally will get outworked and out manned from a non pacific trash team or injured avs team.

  6. One thing with the forwards is that Canes has more to improve there. Svech, Aho and Jarvis needs to be better offensively, if they do that and Stankoven-line still clicks? Look out.

  7. Just based on the fact that Adam treated Jesse's "Canes in six" as a spicy take — like he did last year when Steve predicted Canes in six over the Caps in the second round — I'm predicting Canes in five. Vegas will be the hardest team Carolina has faced this postseason by a wide margin, so I don't expect complete domination like the previous three rounds, but I could see Carolina winning some closely-contested games, maybe losing one game near the beginning, and then closing the door in games four and five to seal the deal. A team doesn't advance to the Cup Final with a 12-1 record if they're not an exceptionally dominant team. This is the first time a team has gone 12-1 other than the Habs winning the Cup in 1968 and 1976.

  8. Hey Steve, wouldn't that have been 19 games for Montreal. TB 7, Buffalo 7 Car 5. Taking Car in 7, Conn Smythe is Taylor or Freddie. Let's Go Canes.

  9. ā€œHow many players on the Knights would be the best on the Canesā€ you guys do know that’s the same pre-series talking points from OTT and MTL right?

It means absolutely nothing. Championships aren’t won on paper.

  10. I still don't understand how most people still downplay the Canes, bruh. Look at their season! Look at the playoffs! Give them the respect they deserve already.

  11. I think the series will come down to the Canes PK% against the Vegas PP% and the production of the 4th lines on each team. I've got the series going 7 games with the Canes hoisting the Stanley Cup for the second time on home ice.
