1. Any member of the media who unironically posits the question "should Michkov be moved?" needs to be disemboweled with a wooden cooking spoon.

2. Michkov regressing and Owen Tippetts trajectory going in the right direction is the reason for the way everyone is looking at this comparison.
   The other thing to take into consideration is the plus/minus factor.
   The third thing I would say is does either player make the players around them better.
   You can give me props on your next show for giving you these topic points. 😂

3. I think all of you need to chill about michkov. His first season he got more goals and more points than all the other rookies that year. his second season all of those rookies all got more goals and points then their previous season other than Michkov.. he did not have a great year, obviously. My point is, take Nathan MacKinnon for an example .. he didn’t score more than 20 goals for five seasons and he’s not the only one there has been multiple elite hockey players who did not start out great but became great. So all of this pressure and stress you guys are putting on this kid is definitely not helping and if and when he does leave wherever he goes, he’s gonna be great because there isn’t gonna be any pressure. I find it funny because all you guys were d**k riding last year saying he’s gonna be great and all this but now he had a bad year now you’re like we gotta get rid of them. old cringe bandwagoners .

   All these other clowns need to be kicked off the show and it just needs to be Charlie. His viewpoint and opinion is the only thing worth listening to.

5. In Van, Tocchet (and his cohort, Adam Foote) needed great goaltending to make-up for the d-zone shortcomings and a lack of offense and shots most nights. Russians, Kuzmenko (39 goals the prior season) and Podkolzin struggled in Tocchet's defensive system and we're shipped out of town. Coincidental that Michkov has struggled under Tocchet, too?

7. We have a kid who wasn't even supposed to be here until next season. He had a sophomore slump only because his rookie season was so over what we expected. During his "down" season he still put up the same amount of points as Owen Tippett and finished tied for 3rd most points on the team. All while improving his plus minus by 18 from -18 to even.

   Was he out of shape? Yes. Does he need to train harder this offseason? Yes.

   He has the 4th most points from his draft class.

   He has done all of this in a new culture where he doesn't speak the language and is still learning how to play the NHL game under 2 different coaches and 2 different systems. He did all that on talent alone.

   The people who call him a bust and say he should be traded are out of their minds.

   IMO he does deserve some special treatment because of those above mentioned factors. We and the organization need to be a little more patient because of all the outside non hockey factors that are in play.

   He knows what he needs to do this offseason. We saw it when he came back from the Olympic break and led the team in scoring.

   Settle down.

8. Why are we trying to give up on player 2 years into the NHL. We all see the upside and it was stated that he did not go into the season in the best shape. We all know what will happen if he was to get traded. He will have that breakout year that makes everyone wonder whybhe was traded. Good thing Danny is not the fans because MM would have been traded already instead of having his growth as a player being on the Flyers and not some other team.

21. Bill, I luv ya. You are the only reason I watch this podcast, but I gotta tell ya, shame on you for not giving Rich Tocchet more respect. He is one of the greatest Flyers of all time, he is a Jack Adams winner, he won Stanley Cups as an assistant coach, he made Canada's coaching staff for the winter olympics….think you need to chill on Tocchet. Nobody's perfect, but he and Vlastar are the two reasons the Flyers made the playoffs. Bill, please chill on the coach Taco criticisms.

22. Giving my thoughts on the idea before it's colored by your takes on it.

    I honestly expect you guys to really just be talking about this cause you need flyers content during the off season and not because you actually agree with this at all. Even if we throw away how much Michkov still managed to contribute offensively while looking like he was a peewee player vs a varsity team most games I don't understand how there's ANYTHING to talk about here until camp starts next season. If he's out of shape again we have problems, if he learned his lesson from this past season we're good. it really is just that simple.

    This is an absurd amount of pressure to put on a 20-21 year old. Even if he wasn't under that much as someone who's only 27 i remember that age pretty well and let me tell you people in their early 20s are MORONS who make mistakes constantly. But the defining trait of people under 25 is neural plasticity, most of them will also learn and adapt to those mistakes pretty quickly.

23. Man. I will say, this is pretty disappointing. Knowing that the title is a reference to the ESPN article that was in and of itself engagement farming. It is sad to see the past two days worth of “content.” It is the dog says of summer and there is a need to drive engagement, but wouldn’t it be better to look at either forecasting down revenue in the summer months, or pulling pack to a 3 day a week show schedule instead of sacrificing the name you have built up over the past 3 years?

    It is sad to see the show I love and listen to everyday start turning into other podcasts in the area that are leagues below the level and standard of PHLY.

    Would much rather see you take breaks, pull back on scheduling, or focus on niche topics with the expectation of lower viewership than sacrifice the name and integrity you have built over time.

24. That ESPN comment by Rachel K is soo short sighted, trying to fit a scenario that isn't there is pretty weak. Tocchet is trying to teach Michkov basic defensive positioning and when to leave your zone. I could see Tocchet not giving him preferential treatment and maybe consciously making that clear but the Coach has a Team and a Room to Coach. Matvei wants to be part of the Team and is part of the Team.
    Outside noise especially from bots and fairweather reporters doesn't help the situation and is pretty weak to grab at those straws. Pretty lazy journalism.

27. This team has needed elite players for a long time. They draft Cutter, refuse to let him play when he wanted, bc of…..culture. So he is gone. HUGE fail by Danny. Then he drafts Michkov, even when the fans wanted Leonard. Let’s not even mention drafting Luchanko (a bottom 6 player) over Buium & Helinus.

    Danny stated they did their due diligence on Michkov. They weren’t concerned w his lack of defensive play, or the rumors about his supposed attitude. So did they not do their due diligence? Danny proceeds to hype the kid, until a known Russophobe comes in to coach, & is pissed bc Michkov made that video mocking Tacos dump & Chase.

    Michkov was played on his off wing & on a checking line w a center that’s not skilled to suit him. He has played 2 seasons. His worst season he accumulated the same amount of points as Dvorak which was his best season. lol. Tippett still hasn’t reached Michkov’s rookie season point total. Lol.

    So is Martone going to be the only elite player on the team? The current team is less talented than Giroux & Voraceks teams yet these fans think a contender has been built. Lol. Look at Buffalo, Montreal, Anaheim, SJ, & Chicago. Will this current group be able to keep up with those talented teams in the coming years? Nope.

    This team was not built to be a championship team, it was built to fill seats. They couldn’t even rebuild right. Pittsburgh & Washington still have Ovi & Crosby, yet they are already rebuilding w talent. Just wait until they start getting top 3 picks. Then the Flyers are really screwed. It’s apparent Flyers fans can’t stand skilled players. They prefer the culture guys who can’t win bc they lack the talent. The Flyers culture is being mediocre losers. They run every skilled player out of town. Hence why they haven’t won $h!t in 51years.

    This fan base will be the laughing stock of the league for the next 15yrs while Cutter & Matvei are tearing it up & winning elsewhere. Danny, Jonesy, & Taco will be long gone by then. It will be the fan base that suffers.
