  1. I think we have no idea how Hagens will perform, but Gawd! The Bruins better give him a full chance. It seems the B's organization does a number on the psyche of young players. They can't come here and have fun and relax and play hockey. The attitude that you have to earn it doesn't work when you take them out after one or two bad games. They never give them a proper chance to "earn it". My expectations have lowered a little, but honestly I don't think we have any idea how he will ultimately perform. I'm just sick of the Bruins organization bashing young players.

  2. The Bruins need to show patience with Hagens, look at Zacha's first few years, first year 24 points, next year 25 points. Hagens will most likely exceed those numbers, but we cannot expect a point per game. Look how far Zacha has come in his career.

  3. I know it was a throw away line, but this whole Aspirot shouldn't be playing with McAvoy on the top pair thing gets me. Charlie played his best in over 3 years when and only when Jonathan was paired with him. If we are talking about patience with Hagens, why not throw a little his way. Especially when 4 egregious years of playoff performances hasn't knocked the other guy off the top pair yet.

  4. Hagens is 19 yrs old. Think of it this way he was just in High School 2 years ago from HS to the NHL in a 2 year's is a gigantic jump. We all need to relax and give him a couple years to adjust. There's only one Celebrini!

  7. Let him cook? You were the one crying that he wasn't immediately playing for Boston and also cried when he was scratched in both the playoffs and worlds.

  8. It’s obviously way too early to say with confidence, but I will say anyway that my two main modern comparison players for Hagens are: Matt Barzal and Logan Cooley.

    Barzal had an amazing rookie season (85 points) at age 20. However, he’s settled into being a 60-70 points-per-season player during the bulk of his career, with far more Assists than Goals. I think that’s a good measuring stick for Hagens’ future.

    Logan Cooley is another good comparison. He’s early in his career still, but looks like a 60 points-per-season center, with potential for more during his prime years. Another good measuring stick for Hagens, in my opinion.

  9. This episode should be called “should Evan change his view of Hagens?” Hopefully he does because he had him centering the first line in the playoffs. I like a lot of the content but that was hard to take. Hopefully it’s a lesson that most players need to adjust to the NhL no matter how great they look at the lower levels.
