When I hear the words accelerating the rebuild as a Rangers fan, I say here we go again. It is always absolutely without exception do it right now. And it is never ever absolutely not under any circumstances do it right. I understand this is New York and the city had less tolerance for the pain of a rebuild than a smaller market might, but Jesus H Christ its been 3 DECADES. We are ready and willing to spend 2-3-4 years losing towards building a solid future. We are sick and tired of losing for 2 – 3 – 4 DECADES so we can watch superstars 2–3-4 seasons past their prime underperform. F this Im going to start watching rugby or something.

5th OA + Schneider for 2nd OA is an absolute fleece and if I were drury I would have trouble keeping a straight face if and not laughing if SJ said yes. 2nd OA in this draft should be the centerpiece for a player like Robert Thomas or Jason Robertson. Many rangers fans are severely overvaluing Schneider who is a 3rd pairing defenseman at best

Leaking doesn't equal leadership…in fact its the total opposite, and its a morale killer.
The GM saying he wants to get younger/tougher/bigger/harder hitting conflicts with his obsession to exile Schneider, who has all of those traits.
Another option is signing Schneider, who wants to stay in NY, to a short term contract.
Alex Tuch is an option, but they will not give him a long-term deal
