  1. Habs are being dominated. They aren’t is the same class. At least Ottawa’s games were close and weren’t embarrassed against the eventual cup winners

  2. 1. Get bigger on defence – trade for Dougie Hamilton & promote Yakemchuk.
    2. Get a line mate for Stutzle – oh we have one – move Cozens to RW

    3. Giroux is 5th in scoring last season for forwards & unless Staois finds a better forward he could be on that 2nd line next season.
    4. Get tougher – sign UFA Scott Laughton C/LW is a tough player who will drop them, responsible defensively & is great at faceoffs something Ott needs from the 4th line
    5. Ottawa needs a responsible experienced backup that can play 30 plus games including playoff games, if required. Stuart Skinner G is a UFA who has plenty of experience including playoff experience.
    6. If they still want a top six pt producer it seems Victor Arvidsson could be available as a UFA & cost nothing.

To NJD: Zetterlund RW, Spence RD & 2027 2nd rd pick
    To OTT: Dougie Hamilton RD

UFA Signings: Victor Arvidsson RW/LW, Scott Laughton C/LW & Stuart Skinner G

    Tkachuk – Stutzle – Cozens
    Arvidsson – Pinto – Batherson
    Giroux – Greig – Amadio
    Foegele – Halliday – Laughton/MacDermid/Hodgson

    Sanderson – Hamilton
    Chabot – Zub
    Kleven – Yakemchuk/Matinpalo

    Ullmark – Skinner

  3. What you have to be aware of is that Bettman doesn't want a Canadian team to win a cup period. Its been going on since Bettman took over. Its the fan base is bigger in the states.I want the best for Ottawa, but I know they are making the reffs throw the games.Someone needs to take Garry to court. The NBA fired Garry as the NBA commissioner. They said he was tampering with basketball games. The NBA took Garry to court, but couldn't prove that he did it.The same thing is going on in the NHL.A Canadian team hasn't won a cup since Garry took over.

  4. If either Sens or Flyers went up against the Canes after them being off for as long as they did before playing the Habs they would have dominated and won Game 1 as well. Habs fans acting like they could dominate Carolina after 1 Game then the real show starts from the Canes in Game 2 and so forth. At least Sens had more then 22+ shots in all their games against Carolina lol.

  5. There is no way they are drafting Sokolovski LD especially at #32 with Eliasson LD already in the fold. Maybe if he was a RD, but he's not & they already have Donovan, Kleven & Eliasson at LD. BTW they have a big right shot D in Toure RD.

  6. Oh man this Sokolovski guy is for sure our pick at 32 lol. Such a shoe-in. Seems like an interesting gamble but man… we need scoring wingers in our system so badly

  7. The Canes were second in the league in scoring during the regular season, but didn't have an elite scoring line. Every line contributes, and every line competes in both ends, or you don't play for Rod. They got a bit bigger and tougher, based on their experience getting owned by Florida, but mostly they are where they are because of a willingness to move on from guys that don't fit the system.
