4. Wins and losses in hockey are way more than just comparing goalies. If you have a top 5 star goalie playing behind forwards who don’t come back to defend, and defensemen who give the puck away in the d-zone, being elite gets you next to nothing.

   Offensively the Bruins were garbage analytically as well

   The Bruins shot a ridiculous & unrepeatable high shooting %, while also getting a decade's worth of schedule help, bad opposing goaltending & bounces

   Again, that won't repeat itself next year

   They lack a true 1C & they probably need at least two additional Top 6 forwards beyond that

   Their bottom 6 also needs to generate far more speed, skill & offense as well

   They have a black hole at RHD behind McAvoy

   Hampus Lindholm looks like a broken, used up toy

   Jokiharju & Lohrei are lousy defenders

   The only dman in PVD is Frederic Brunet & he's a limited 5th round pick homers should reel in their expectations about

   And if you need even more proof that the Bruins are still fairly far away from being Cup competitive again just look at the NHL's Final Four teams this year

   More Playoff DNQs as GM (2) than 2nd round series wins (1) since 2015 as GM

   So if anyone actually thinks that Don Sweeney is going to build another Cup competitive core of his OWN, that's kind of laughable

   Again, Sweeney is rotten at drafting & developing

   And again, his track record with outside the organization UFAs had largely been rotten as well

   Think that the Bruins are close to being Cup competitive again & that Don Sweeney is 100% the right man for the job

   And the problem with the Lysell pick was not going for upside speed & skill at that point in the draft

   The mistake was going after a Top 6 RW when they had and still have a black hole at 1C

   Wyatt Johnson, who like Lysell, had question marks was staring at them in the face

   But instead of trying to address a Top 6 center need, they went RW with a young Pasta already on the roster because they were too tied to falling in love with whoever PK Axelsson scouted

   The speed and skill choice was the right one, they just stupidly picked a RW when they needed a Center
