  1. Charlie is in his peak off season form already…..conjecture, speculation and ridiculous expectations about what the team needs to do without any consideration for what is realistic.

  2. Still not sure about getting rid of Risto. This is a player that has been hurt alot and just started to get back into playing from those injuries. So players take longer to get back into the game and would like to see how a entire season would be with him. If you trade him maybe this is something at the deadline.

  3. Is this the best time to trade Coots? Trade him to a contender who is looking for a good checking center, etc. I feel like coming off a really good playoff he’s stock might not ever be this high again.

  4. Carlson for a year even 2 is ridiculous as we need to spend some money on Zegras and Drysdale, not going to happen as we need to bring in Bonk and Jecernik and move Risto before the deadline but if he stays healthy and plays well extend him but Seeler and Andre for sure have to be moved also no room for Hathaway ……

  5. I think we're fine on defense. We're not flushed obviously but I feel like we have other needs like a 1C.

I understand a player like Carlson would be a big help however they should try really hard to get that 1C.

That should be the #1 priority.

Now if we could get a 1st for Risto & then sign Carlson as explained in the video then I'm good with that I guess…

We could use that draft capital to try to make that big trade.

  6. Well, they need a spot for Jiricek (who isnt waiver exempt) and for Bonk (who looks ready). Ensuring the development of both these players is probably more important than boosting the PP this coming season, when they still arent really ready to be legit contenders.

So while i agree with the idea of having a PP specialist to help develop the rest of the power play, it cannot be at the expense of the above 2 players.

  7. Would rather keep risto who fits our team and wants to be here. Would only want Carlson if you trade York (which they won’t). Hoping jiricek can be a 3rd pair/power play guy?

  8. Risto has been in this league a while. His 1st round pick window has likely closed imo but he did have a solid year last year. I would love a 1st rounder IF you can continue big defensive defensemen

  9. Signing Carlson is a must.

Risto got thru the playoff push without an injury. Move him in the Summer for a hopeful 1st rounder i2028, and package three 1st rounders in Summer 2027 for a 1C.

  10. David Jiriceck could develop into that kind of defenseman over time—a big defenseman with a good shot who moves well on the power play. Carlson could become a very good mentor for him.He could pass on all his tips and tricks to David and David could practice them on the second power ….

  11. Raddysh > Carlson

Ya let’s OVERPAY on a late 30’s d who will be on his 3rd team in a calendar year.

    Raddysh – $975k/y MINIMUM you’d have to pay him is that salary – 2025/26 stats – 73 GP 22G 48A 70P .96PPG

    Carlson – $8M/y MINIMUM you’re paying $8m for a 1Y deal NO THANKS – 36 years old – 2025/26 stats – 71GP 14G 46A 60p around a .86 PPG

DO NOT OVERPAY 😂 plenty of other cheaper options who put up just as good if not better numbers. Raddysh fits in WAY better with the younger group.

I’d be more inclined to go get someone like Colton Parayko and put him with his 4 nations / Olympics lineup partner Sanheim.

I’d also be more inclined to keep Juulsen at least we know what we’re getting with him. Can always send down to Phantoms to help develop Bonk / Hunter McDonald.

I think one person that everyone’s been sleeping on that I think is a viable 3D guy you move in the spot of Andrae is Christian Kyrou that kid has proven he was the best D on the Phantoms last year. Can score, pass the pick and easily could put on a few more pounds of muscle though to be honest.

  12. If there is something to learn from Vegas’ success in the playoffs is that you need bigger, skilled guys on the bottom of your roster. They play heavy and are not scared to play the 4th line. The Flyers keep playing guys like Hathaway who contributed 1-2 in 66 games this year. Or Dlo to entertain the mongoloids who want to see a fight. Andrae should be traded. Nice guy but small. If someone offer sheeted Drysdale for more than $4.7 million, I would take the first and third round draft picks. I know Danny will give him $5+ million and a NTC for 5 years.

  13. can we stop talking about bringing in old vets and blocking youth during a damn rebuild.yes we got to the playoffs but carolina prooved we need more time.i want to see bonk,jiricek,berglund,luchenko,quinn,nesbit,mcdonald…..come on our farm is getting closer
