What would your dream offseason look like for the Calgary Flames?
The thing is, the sharks are in contending category and would definitely want nhl proven players, especially on defence…
So I’m thinking Coleman, whitecloud (or Maatta) and our 28 pick…to me that’s reasonable to both teams but if it has to be the 6th instead of 28 then fk it make it happen…
But it sure be nice to hold onto our 6th, that make a killer impact to our rebuild…
I say they stand pat at 6 and take that dman or Viggo Bjorck. Viggo is. It far off from Stenburg and he’s being talked as a true center. Is he gonna be a Rossi or a Brayden Point that is left to be determined. Trade up with your cluster of picks at 30/ early seconds for someone you like earlier. Some good/ bigger centers are going to fall, or some big wingers available mid first rd. I’m lobbying on the side of keeping as many picks as we can instead of offloading for Stenburg. Still a chance he is not a Peter Forsberg and instead a Kappo Kakko
I would do a Coronato, Zary & the Vegas pick to Chicago for #4. Having 4 & 6 would be huge.
Is Stenberg better than the six picks Calgary is going to make. He’s not McDavid or Celebrini. I would go after Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers, etc.
Imagine Stenberg playing on the same line as Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith.
Guessing the Sharks would ask for 6 plus Parekh for 2. Seems high to me
Chicago already has the best prospect pool and a ton of future draft capital. Calgary doesn’t have what Chicago would want, a player like Robertson or Knies.
I think Id prefer staying at #6 and maybe try moving the vegas pick and one of the early 2nds (if theres a player sought after available somewhere closer to the middle of the 1st round)
