  1. The Canes looked fresh enough to play a second full game compared to the Habs. And Carolina built up with no forechecking. The one time Montreal hit the brakes with the puck, they sent it cross-ice for a quick attack in contestee ice. It felt like a matter of when the Canes broke through.

Dobes did all he could behind that. Hutson gets props for sticking in there after getting plastered bad enough, he yelled out in pain. I was surprised that didn't get a stoppage. Carolina bounced back well from the dreadful opener.

  2. Good at least they're putting up more of a fight than my avalanche… Denver just seems to s*** the bed anytime we get in the playoffs and it doesn't matter which team it is.. its a denver thing

  3. That was insane and intelligent game and intentional and the hurricanes were so thrilled and jumping for joy and excitement and the with is a emotional experience of the hurricanes and they win do it again in game 3 I'm so proud to be on your side and what matters most the world has built like and subscribe

  4. Now THAT was finally a more evenly matched game. Carolina playing their usual style and not changing was what kept Canes losing against Habs for the last 2 years. HABS knew what they were doing wrong and Rod finally figured it out. They corrected a mistake THEY were making. Canes finally DID change and it worked, barely. And they played not to lose with much safer offence (still can’t get to the inside for any high danger chances against Habs) and doubled down focusing on defence (that PK is still terrifying!).
For those following the Habs series you can tell this is the slowest of the 3 teams Habs faced so far (still fast tho), and Habs top line wasn’t even going. I just fear this marginal win gives Rod confidence to keep Freddie in cause it looks like he’s done. The longer this goes the more it benefits our rested Hurricanes, though if it gets to best of 3 these fragile (or cursed) players might crack vs Habs clutch do-or-die experience. I think Carolina can still win but if THIS was supposed to be their fastball to stay alive their season may end here.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

  5. all that no. 91 for the habs had to do was make an effort to put the park into Carolina end, as both of his defenceman and he wanted to get off the ice.
Instead he made a half assed effort turned the puck over with two Carolina players moving up ice with speed while the two habs defence were on their way to their bench and simply could not get back because bonehead number 91 failed to execute a simple but critical easy play which was easy as hitting the broad set of a barn-that being put the puck in the carolina end zone
