Personally I hope they keep levi and ship UPL out. UPL is not consistant enough. 1B at best.. Lyon is not getting younger… If he moves on and becomes what we all think I know I won't be happy.
Too bad Levi couldn’t play well for Buffalo. Lyons and UPL were much better
Levi for Tkachuk
I would hate this for the Sabres. Levi played great when Buffalo was bad, he played meh when everyone was awful and got shipped to Rochester. Hes been amazing in Rochester and will be a great starter, IMO better than Ellis and will be more consistent than UPL
Levi will be great for another team, I would hate to see him leave and I’ll never forgive Jarmo if he trades him
They can have Levi and 4 first Ed picks for Thachuk
Yea I’m not totally buying this. There’s plenty of talk that never turns out being real.
You don’t rush goalies into the NHL. 24 has always been fairly young for NHL. This isn’t new
You can't be that tall and that skinny as serious NHL goalie, sorry. I will always take tall, big frame goalie compared to skinny ones like Levi and Lyon tbqh. You can't teach covering as much of net when you go into square mode, and not just square. Levi had plenty of time to beef up and enlarge his frame. He chose not to…he can walk.
Kinda stupid for buffalo send him to Ottawa, Jeff Marek isn't the brightest of insiders seems they would send him west!!!
Need to make a video but don't have a topic, Oh! Levi to Ottawa trade sounds believable. Why are all of these rumored trades happening in divisions now? I always thought you never trade within your own division in any sport,
Need to make a trade with the Jets to get Hellebuyck and a true #1 goalie for the playoffs next season.
Sad to see him go. He got screwed by the Sabres. They need a consistent grade A goaltender..
Our goaltending isn't what lost the 2nd round series for the Sabres.
ya cause we have such a good track record of developing goalies……not happening
Levi is overrated and too small
Ellis is better than Levi
good luck with that.
Sabres fan here checking in. I have no idea if Levi is the goalie of the future for Buffalo. However, I’m absolutely convinced that UPL is not. If Jarmo trades Levi to Ottawa, that’s fine with me. It’s the UPL trade that I’m truly hoping for, with any other team.
We really just wanted to have him pan out to make the Reinhardt trade look better. We’ve proven that we can make the playoffs without the best goaltending. I just don’t think they’re willing to give him the crease. It’s time to move his rights before he loses all value.
I'd like to see the Sabres give Erik Portillo another look — if he has changed his mind, He's stuck in the AHL because of Kings' goalie depth.
If Ottawa wants Levi they’re paying a higher price tag for being a division rival. A nothing draft pick isn’t going to cover it either. The trouble for them is I don’t see much they have that Buffalo would want, unless Levi is 1 piece in a bigger deal.
How did we mistreat him? Save percentage under .900 and he wants more play time? Earn it.
I believe Colton Ellis will be our new number 1 during the season next year
