  1. Hi Mike, lot's of food for thought 🤔 A couple things that I'm thinking based on what Kyle Dubas said in his year end press conference, he said he'll look for a big acquisition, also he stressed defense needs to get better. Based on that, and it was painfully clear in the playoffs that the Penguins need center depth and the defense needs to improve!! With Silvos and Murashov basically the duo for next year to have as many odd man rushes and breakaways would be horrible for them. I believe that Dubas will definitely call Ducks for Zellwinger or Michkoff (I know I spelt his name wrong) He'll also call Dallas about Harley. The Pens have 42$ mill left and after Malkin 6$, Shea 4$, and Chinakhov 7.5$=17.5$ mill from 42$= 24.5$ mill left. We all know Dallas is screwed, they want Robertson and like you said if they sign him to say 13$ and Harley's extention kicks in at 10.5$ which is 6.5$ more + 5.25$ mill more for Jason that's 11.75$ about 3.25$ mill more than the increase! And they have other UFA's…..if I were Dubas I would offer Rakell, a 2nd, and maybe a mid/low prospect for Harley AND Seguin. Yes, take Seguins contract for them. They would be thrilled to actually have cap space. Now, they have a strong forechecker which they completely lack in the playoffs and everyone knows that, a pic because they gave up so much for Rantenan, and maybe a prospect but cap space. For us we have a great defenseman for possibly 12-14 ,years and we didnt give up our assets. We'd have somewhere in the neighborhood of 10$-12$ mill in cap space for a forward. Maybe spend some assets to go after Robert Thomas and look to trade Novak. Thomas is only 8$ mill which leaves us 2$-4$ mill and Novaks salary so 5.5$-8$ mill. The Pens would definitely be a much better team going forward. Blessings, Victor 🙏
