  1. If Tuck thinks he's worth 11 mil, trade him and let someone else pay him that much. He MIGHT be a 6 or 7 mil for 4 years kinda player. Rantanen thought he was worth more than Mackinnon and he is playing golf and sitting on the worst stats of his career in Dallas now while the return for him has been clutch for the Avs. Greedy players aren't team players.

  2. Kulich Quinn benson ostlund helenius thompson doan Norris. That’s 8 players who can all reasonably play top six minutes and that is leaving out McLeod Krebs and Zucker. I love tuch but not for what he’s asking. I would let him walk and replace him with a cheaper power play specialist. Also Mrtka is a great prospect but he’s a little too far away to risk breaking up their top four for the next two or three seasons. Defenseman take time.

  3. Hockey fan who loves your content…you all are very knowledgeable not only about NHL but minor leagues, coaches and executives. Steve is crazy which I think is standard for most hockey fans lol. Keep up the great work.

  4. to sj Power for 1st pick keep tuch f 7 years do not offer no no trade clause. after 4 years. 3 big d is enough. 8 M $ decent for a60 point guy. does hewant to win or play for philly and lose all the time 😂😂😂

  5. The best revelation of the playoffs for the sabres was that the young core is better than the old core. Benson, ostlund, Helenius (just to name 3). I'm not overpaying anyone who is 30

  6. I like Tuch but no for anything over 9million. It’s just business and that money probably pays Benson and supplements Byram’s new contract. You might get five years out of eight of meaningful production too

  7. The thing is, he believes he's worth that. He's 7.5m player. The good news is ufa might now finally want to come to Buffalo as we're a playoff team

  8. I’m walking from Stanley, Schenn, and Pearson.

I’d try to negotiate a lower AAV for Tuch because he played himself out of 8 figures a year in that series.

    I’m keeping Malenstyn.

    I’m keeping Benson long term.

I’m locking up Byram long term.

I’m shopping Luukkonen and Greenway for trades.

I’m keeping Kesselring if I can get him at a bargain.

  9. Tuch was the best player against Boston and he’s always been a great playoff guy even with low ice time on Vegas…he’s much better playoff guy than anyone on leafs roster

  10. He tied for second on the team in goals for the playoffs. i wouldnt quite say he was unproductive. he shot the puck alot. and they planted him in front of the net alot.

  11. Sabres prospect pool has depth at D and in goal. Helenius is the best forward by a wide margin – there are some other interesting forwards that haven't yet turned pro in North America, but they could stand to improve the forward depth (which is about the future, of course). For the present, do they have a definite #1 or #2 center? Thompson was the #1 by default, and Norris overall was a disappointment at a high salary. There is no guarantee that Ostlund, Helenius or Kulich could fill those two spots (maybe one of them could be #2), so maybe the team looks to upgrade the center spine in the offseason.

  12. Strangely, if the Sabres had continued to suck, I would have been all over keeping Tuch. Veteran leadership, playoff experience, desire to be in Buffalo etc… Now everyone has playoff experience, and I suspect winning a round in the playoffs has an influence on the willingness to join the team. That intangible value has decreased. Listening to Jarmo yesterday gush about Benson and go full GM mode when talking about Tuch tells me the team has their priorities in line.

  13. Mowhawk video with a hair chirp. Perfection!

Also incredible camera work and elite outtakes!

One question if possible: I feel like when I do a mohawk well I feel like my body weight is falling forward into the circle. But do you want to actually be moving your body weight more towards the forward/front foot?

  14. Sabres are ready to contend, so maybe add vets to improve on offense… they stockpiled enough picks and prospects in the past 14yrs so their youth should be fine…

  15. Wow for once i actually agree with steve. Stanley walk tf away, beck gotta keep, tuch i don't know 😂. Tuch is gonna come down to cap, but crazy enough, ostlund, helenius, benson, kulich, the pieces are there to directly replace him immediately

  16. Tuch is a great guy and a hometowner but based on his output I would not pay him more than $7 million a year. Solidify the young core. Extend Benson to 8 year deal. Bring in other hometowner and the single greatest American forward of all time Showtime Patrick Kane on a two year more affordable deal. He's from South Buffalo and he also plays RW like Tuch. And please get a goalie!
