We’re going over the idea of the Vancouver Canucks trading down from their 3rd overall pick with the Calgary Flames for the 6th overall pick, in order to potentially acquire three more picks in the top 40 of the 2026 NHL Draft.

Weren't we supposed to stay away from the mushy middle? I don't think the Canucks can pass on an opportunity in drafting Stenberg if he's available. Calgary is way too close for us to make that deal and would live with that decision for decades. I'd only do it if he's not there and the team is all in for Malholtra.
I would only for that if we choose purposefully to tank again this year.
If this propsed trade happen, the Canucks should definetly draft the Ruck twins!
Ya that would be crazy, for Calgary. There doesn't seem to be a consensus on the positioning of this years draft. That ain't happening because of that.
Calgary would never giveaway that many early picks but if they were it would be split between two draft years
I bet Van would but we wouldn't why? We have so many quality players right now and with 6th over all we will get Viggo so were good.
Only do if stenberg is not their at 3rd
Canucks will not trade with Calgary. You know Canucks will take Malholtra first if he does not endup in Toronto. Stenberg if he does endup in Toronto. Carsonm Carels is best bet for Canucks. Like Hughes with man's size. Pick a forward pick two and three.
I would consider trading Seattle for their two first round picks if they would do it. But if Calgary would do it sure.
Canucks are in a rebuild and we need everything.
Same with tij iginla in the flames organization. Calgary did good not getting him
I could see calgary giving up that draft capital for number 3 on the draft. They have alot of draft picks and they could make it happen. Its up to vancouver to take their offer. I would also see vancouver giving up a 2nd round draft pick in this transaction
I'd do it
Nope. I'm calling it. It'll be the Blues 11th, 15th(Det), and 28-31(Col) for the 3rd overall.
No way should Vancouver make that trade ! They want it for trading with Toronto .
nooooooooooooo
No way we should trade down . Keep the picks we have and begin stocking up prospects
Calgary fan here. This is a joke there’s no fuckin way we should do this
Worst move ever
no, Ottawa forfeits even drafting @ 32, so it moves everything up (Vancouver's 33rd becomes 32nd in effect, meaning Canucks get 3 first round picks !
Calgary takes the 3rd and packages it with Coleman and Cooley for the Sharks 2nd to get Mckenna.
Calgary wouldn't but yeah Vancouver probably would
I'm a Canuck fan, but this is a pipe dream! Not going to happen!
I would suggest the Flames, trade up to 3, Send Vegas 26' pick, two later second round picks & 2027 1st round (Colorado pick) to Canucks. Flames retain pick #6 & first two second round picks. That's a lot of picks for Canucks & 2 first rounder's. If not trade with San Jose or Chicago. You have to feed the Dragon to make it your friend.
