15. i mean both are true. Back in the day a coach could be a relentless asshole and mistreat people and it was fine. In fact you had to put up with it as a player or you were soft. But things have changed. So Babcock just cant be that guy nowadays, it cant be all about him the way we used to allow for coaches. Many coaches had main character syndrome… now they dont.

    He is the wrong guy. Hes a horrible dude. But we see him that way cause tastes and what we consider acceptable have changed over time. To some boomers thats everyone becoming soft. To others thats everyone being less tolerant of assholes and wanting to associate with better people. Free speech is not to be conflated with consequence free speech. People have every right to refuse to hire or associate with someone who is a horrible person. That aint cancel culture or being soft its just having higher standards.
