Let me know your expectations for the Red Wings this off-season
Looking at who made the playoffs and who almost did, and throw Toronto in there as well, its looking like making the post season next year might be even more difficult
Expectations and reality are 2 different things. Mgmt needs to acquire a 1C, completely revamp the bottom 6 cutting the dead wood while moving more youth into the lineup. Getting bargain basement players has not worked. The pro scouting Dept should be completely replaced.
This should be GM's last year to show improvement.
We all know Yzerman likes to collect goalies like infinity stones, so please don't encourage the man!

The tow issues with this team. They can’t win a lottery to save their lives and they are not a destination on Free Agency…
So I’m not sure why Yzerman gets blame. MANY of his free agents were his 3rd and 4th options but no one wants to mention that.
Reality is it’s time for Yzerman to spend assets to add support to 71, 23, 93 and 53 – this is how he cna add some talent and depth.
Also – play kids.
They are likely better than any FA out there imo.
They will
Never be a cup team – have to win lotteries for that, it’s been proven.
But they will peak as playoff team every other year at best.
