  1. I am in San Angelo, Texas and have been an Avalanche fan since the beginning! I watched the first cup series on TV until 1:30 in the morning in the 3rd overtime. I was physically at the 2001 cup game when they won. GO AVS!

  2. Im in Tyler,TX. I cant put into words how much I despise the Stars. Unfortunately thats the only time I can see the Avs play is in Dallas. Man their fans are insufferable.

  3. How can a state that doesn't have Hockey even on a collegiate level weigh in on any of the teams? Sure there are likely transplants from other markets that were moved there due to their jobs, but still.
The only teams I like are the Rangers and the Avs. As for "villians" I can think of many over the decades I've been a hockey fan. Most recently I'd go with Tom Wilson, Brad Marchand, and Jamie Benn.

  4. Yep I’m with you on several points. I can’t stand Dallas and Jamie Benn is a dirty player! I’ve mentioned this before he stick checks crosschecks people in the back of the head when they’re facing away from him. He does this all the time he did it to McKinnon damn near took his head off. Of course the ref wasn’t looking. It’s gonna be a tough and Series we’re gonna have to be slamming him as much. Is there going to be slamming us and I’m worried for Cale Makar. But I’m still taking the Avs in six.

  5. Detroit….nothing will reach my eternal hatred for them. May they lose for a half a century, eventually be relegated to some minor hockey league, the new Joe demolished and the ground it stood on salted with radioactive salt so nothing grows there for a 1000 years.

Oh, and F**k Jamie Benn and Matt Duchene. 🙂

  6. Hating Benn is what unites fans from everywhere that is not Dallas. Guy is an overrated plug. Can't believe he's the captain of anything but it does help explain why Dallas hasn't won shit since '99. Captains set culture…and Benns culture is mediocre douche-baggery.

  7. I like that the league punished Torts for his nonsense by taking a 2nd round pick from the team. This shames Torts in a way that just fining his pocketbook can't. It goes on to affect more than just himself, but also others, like the ones who brought him in despite his history of shennanigans. Now he has to look his employers in the eyes and realize that his actions affected them as well. Hopefully it will shame him enough to not be such a dick… despite how entertaining it might be for fans to watch LOL.

  8. In the pre-lockout era – it was definitely the Red Wings. I loved to hate those guys. But it was always with a begrudging respect due to their winning ways. But then the NHL messed that up by moving them out of the conference.

In the post-lockout era – it's the Dallas Stars. But I don't have the same respect for them as I did the Red Wings — especially after all the smack talk their fans had about Mikko Rantanan, acting as if we traded him directly to Dallas with no respect for his talent (which was NOT the case).

  9. The only answer is the Red Wings and either Dino Ciccarelli or Darren McCarty. Im also adding Todd Bertuzzi because what he did i believe did get criminal charges.

  10. My nemesis team is the Red Wings and player is a tie between Darren McCarty or Todd Bertuzzi. They are both a couple of goons that couldn’t even goon properly. No matter how many times he apologizes, Todd will never be forgiven by Avs faithful and McCarty, nothing else to say about that scumbag. I hate hate hate them!!!!!!

  11. As an avs fan, ive always found it annoying when folks pretend the nordiques history is ours. No other teams do this. The jersey devils were originally the colorado rockies, but ive never once heard someone from jersey say "when we came from colorado" or "leading scorer in rockies/devils history". Its a weird thing avs fans do in my opinion

  12. Hey! 35 seconds before you got to the content! That’s a big improvement. Now put that question and commentary organically in the middle and we’ll really be cooking with gas.
