  1. As much as I disliked the Chayka hiring , if they can bring in this coach who has turned down another original 6 team , The Chicago BlackHawks this would be a great signing . University of Denver is paying him handsomely to coach their program. Plot thickens

  2. If we want a hope in hell of landing McDavid, the Leafs need to get a lot better and quickly. It may very well be true that Conner wants to come home, but he also wants to win a cup. He’s been one of my favourite players going back to his junior days, and I’d love it if he was a Leaf.

  3. Carle is not going anywhere…he has said over and over how much he loves his situation in Denver and with his newest recruits there I’d say the Leafs would have to get McDavid BEFORE be considered taking that job….

  4. The more things change with the Leafs. The more things stay the same with the Leafs. It an endless run on a treadmill. Going forward, when it comes to the Leafs, I'll believe it when I see it.

  5. If McAdams truly wants to end his career at home no problem it’s really up to him cut in half or as Toronto what they can afford because McAdams doesn’t need to ask for 20 mill a year because he already is so rich he worth more then any rock start so he could say yes pay me what you can let’s see what he says

  6. Darius, I hope you can bring some sensibility to Nick's commentary. He was and is an idiot when it comes to the Blue Jays and now it looks like he's going to do the same thing with Hockey. I hope I'm wrong, but if he's not an athlete in either sport, then maybe he should find another profession because if his Hockey narrative is as bad as his baseball acumen then he's really in trouble in this field. It takes more than a computer, a camera and a mic to do this job, but to many kids have just no clue as to what they're doing. The End.

  7. Guys dont get any ideas …. its funny how now all these draft players should be the #1……..hillarious its just smoke screens……..Gavin McKenna is the #1 over all and thats been a fact for over 3 years…..its a no brainer……..

  8. They'll never get him, let's be realistic his names gets floated around the media, the media always uses "the leafs have strong interest'', "they are so close'' then he says NO, and the leafs pick a very terrible coach. The media always uses all those titles to get attention, but it never happens.

  9. Carle would be my chosen one, but Mike Futa said again, Carle has a young family and he doesn't want the NHL as of yet. Pitt & Chi. already tried. BUT you never know, if you wave some cabbage under his nose, he could swing……IF Berube goes to EDM. then this money could be used for Carle……..Maholtra is still in limbo with Vancouver.. good job boys.

  10. Not sure why you think it would “take a lot to draw David Carle” from coaching at Denver. He’d make a ton more money in the NHL and it’s a far more prominent position. Maybe he’s one of the few who doesn’t want the money and the spotlight, but you have to think he’d be keen to give it a shot, were it offered.
