Toronto Maple Leafs’ front office SHAKEUP continues with Brandon Pridhom gone

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to overhaul their front office as John Chayka decides to part ways with assistant general managers Brandon Pridham and Derek Clancy. Mike DiStefano and Dave Morassutti break down the sweeping changes, analyzing the legacy of Pridham’s reputation as a salary cap wizard and questioning whether more people could be on the way out. The conversation also explores potential coaching hires, including Manny Malhotra and rising NCAA names, as the Leafs continue their search for the right bench boss.

If the Toronto Maple Leafs decide they want to make a big-time trade, could Matthew Knies really have more value than Auston Matthews? David Morassutti is joined by guest host Frank Stanisci to break down Knies vs. Matthews, contract scenarios, and what potential trades might mean for the Maple Leafs’ future. The conversation explores Vincent Trocheck trade rumors, Toronto’s urgent need for center depth, and whether a youth-focused reset is possible. Plus, the spotlight shines on the Toronto Marlies’ playoff surge with key prospects like Easton Cowan and Ben Danford showing their ability to handle the pressure of post-season hockey.

  1. Bruce Cassidy is probably the best option available and then you have Edmonton's coach that they just fired, another former Oilers coach Jay Woodcroft, Peter Laviolette is still unemployed….might wanna keep their eyes on what Tampa does before they do anything….I highly doubt Coop is leaving Tampa anytime soon, or it probably would've already happened..but if that ever was to happen there should be 31 other teams lining up to talk to him..if they're smart.

  2. The dawn of a new clown show. I really feel sorry for whoever the first round draft pick turns out to be. I watched the l Leafs last cup win ( got to stay up on a school night wearing my Batman pajamas) and never thought they would never win the cup or even come close to winning the cup again. Toronto has become a destination where players go to stagnate and mediocrity rules.

  3. If you want to improve this team, fire the players. Stop wasting time and start the full rebuild. Players play and they alone are responsible for the garbage on the ice.
