3. Malhotra maybe with John Gruden as an assistant

4. Malhotra is under contract for 26-27. They can’t even talk to him without express permission from the Canucks. That’s just not happening.

7. I would take Woodcroft, or Knoblauch , of course the contracts with Anaheim or Edmonton would have to be cleared and these guys would have to be willing to ponder analytics . I love the idea of Malholtra but I think his heart is with Vancouver and coaching the farm team Abbotsford…..But like everyone else I'm sure the Leafs are doing there due -diligence …on a side note Ivar Stenberg played yesterday with Sweden against Team Canada and he was not out of place…..what a decision Chayka is going to have. 21. As an Oilers fan, Big Knob would fit Toronto like a glove IMO. He wasn't really the big issue in Edmonton he was the scapegoat for Bowman's poor roster construction. Knobloch took us to back to back SCF even when we thought we were going to be out of the playoffs under woodcroft. He also took us to the playoffs this year with an injured Drai who was out for a long time. He did what he could but our roster was riddled with injuries this year and again not a great roster construction by Bowman. I Really want to see knob prove the haters wrong and I think he'd do wonders in Toronto. Woodcroft would be ok but I really think Knob is the right choice for T.O

22. Build, I agree. With few disposable assets, the draft is the way to go.

23. Caleb Malhotra might be worth a Matthews Knies deal to be honest. We need a 2C very soon and I swear this kid has barkov potential.

24. I would hesitate with a "just fired" candidate… it didn't work there, why could it work here. Fresh ideas and a return to offence hockey with a strong puck moving back end.
