I love these daily shots.
I also love the idea of EP40.
I know I know, he’s overpaid and underperformed BUT there’s a good player there and potentially a great player there as we’ve seen flashes of.
The Canucks have been a train wreck.
The penguins, in my estimation, have everything the Canucks would want or need in that deal.
We can give them another center in Tommy Novak who I believe is a good player but is also lost in the sauce right now (not a true 2C, can’t bump Kindel down, way to good to be a 4C)
I think they’ll have interest in Joel Blomqvist who projects as an nhl starter, especially with demko’s availability issues.
Then there’s someone like Girard who we can assume will be a throw in on this deal, and maybe a 2nd round pick in next years draft or this years, I’d throw in the 21st overall pick if they’d take the graves contract lmao
I don’t know how to frame it but I know I’d start with Novak and Joel and I’d be happy to have a top 6 next year of Chinakov-Crosby-Malkin

They'll make the floor obviously. But people thinking all of the veterans can be shipped out to "let the kids play" or move up in the first round fail to remember the cap floor. People need to expect some bad journeyman wastes on bad contracts will be starters on this team next year.

Dubas literally told us in the presser that he's looking for higher end younger players and established players, and people are out here wondering how they'll get to the cap floor.
DK, does it get frustrating being in a profession where people just dont *listen*?
Stars may be trying to move out dushene or benn to make room to extend robertson. Maybe one of those guys might be good on the third line.
