Doesn’t matter Edmonton’s management is running the team into the ground. Roster gets worse every season.
The problem with the Oilers was not the coach.

Blackhawks fan here, Leaf hater as well. Oilers don't do anything for me. But saying that, please hire Cassidy. Last thing us poor souls living in Leaf country need is another collective orgasm from the usual suspects in the media and fandom about the next coaching hire finally taking them to the Stanley Cup mountaintop and seeing the promised land ! If that happens, that means that big names like DeBoer, Cassidy and Tortorella are off the table for the Leafs to pounce on.
