Yesterday the team announced that Braden Birch was hired as Assistant GM.

My targets this summer, since I’m assuming Brady, Tage, Robertson are not truly available is to do a swap for McTavish and Nemec then offer sheet Mavrik Bourque in Dallas since I’m sure they’ll do cap gymnastics for Robertson but not be able to afford both. Both are young and can play center and McTavish plays a physical game. I’d hold onto Dougie for at least this year since I think he’s currently a better player than Nemec and his contract likely ending sooner than whatever Nemec gets gives us more flexibility in a summer or two when FA is less abysmal than this years group. Also move one of Siegs, Dillon, Kovacevic for someone who has more of a two way game.
Can September start yet, i am happy with Playoff hockey but i really wanna see what this team will look like next season.

Auston Matthews is a HUGE farce. His playoff effort, his pace play, it’s not worth it. Marner is better with Eichel because Eichel is a championship caliber player. Matthews isn’t it.
