I understand what Vegas is doing. Its dumb but i get it. Cant wait for Cassidy SZN! His results speak for themselves and his attitude and style is exactly what this team needs right now
I honestly don't see a lot of big roster construction issues. Yes, Nurse is over paid but he and Connor Murphy make a really good shutdown pair. The goaltending could be better but unless Stan goes big game hunting for Bobrovsky I don't see a viable alternative. (And remember…Bobrovsky stunk for a long time in Florida before he got good again).
The penalty kill was abyssmal. The team as a whole didn't play good structured defense for most of their games. I think a hard nosed coach who holds players accountable is what they need the most. Give them a system and make them play it every single shift of every single game.
If GM is not doing the job, coach can not make the team a better team with current roaster.
Next Question: Who is Bruce Cassidy likely to hire as his assistants?
This Cassidy guy is a jerk, the players hate him. Why do they want him?

He was the only Bruins coach that knew how to deploy Trent Frederic, so getting some juice out of that lemon would be swell.
Cassidy is a supposed defensive specialist, that’s what they need.
