Vegas is making the Oilers wait. Frank Seravalli reports that Edmonton requested permission to interview Bruce Cassidy — but the Golden Knights have withheld it while they’re still playing in Round 2. 😤
Meanwhile, Kris Knoblauch is still technically the Oilers’ head coach… while they’re openly searching for his replacement. Awkward.

It's par for the course, it's still the playoffs
Because they didn’t fully fire him yet. It’s kinda like being laid off you still have a chance of coming back.
That shot is so stupid. I don’t understand why teams won’t let a fired coach or gm interview with a new team. Like you’re paying him to sit around and do nothing but you won’t let him take another job so you don’t have to pay him? I also understand that they are both in the same conference but still. Just bush league by any team that does that shit
But what does Cassidy with the ducks and knights? It not like it is a current assistant coach.
I can see delaying a current assistant coach being denied permission during a series, but a coach that is fired is ridiculous.
Probably trying to get the Oilers to offer a pick to talk to him.
He'd have to be dense not to realize that his job is on the line, let's be honest. He even addressed that earlier, well before there was really any talk. He obviously doesn't want to lose his job, but he mentioned it isnt something he will worry about and knows that everything will be looked at
Game 6, he knew….
Nothing can help that dumpster fire in Edmonton
Knoblauch is toast
Kings or coaching a generational talent…I would wait if I were him
