  1. Wedgwood did great up to this point. At any rate, its more than just goalie performance, there needs to be more defense around the net assisting the goalie.

  2. Minnesota scared me before this series, they scare me now. If we lose and go 2-2 after tonight's game then OMG.. but I have faith, we are too deep. We just need to punch back tonight. We can't lose game 4

  3. He flew with the team for the 2 game stretch, so "he's available" means he's playing, because they need him. I rate it as a bigger certainty than Blackwood playing, which is pretty high.
    My concern with Blackwood is I haven't liked the way the team has been playing in front of him as a starter.

  4. This is not like another team putting in a backup. Blackwood had slightly under half the team's regular season starts and finished in the top 10 of all NHL goaltenders in goals-against per game (to include better GA/G than two of the three Vezina Trophy finalists). A lot of other teams would love to have him as a starting option. The Avalanche are a true tandem and Wedgewood probably could use a break and a reset as they've been leaning on him a lot so far.
