  1. Truly legendary stuff today… wish I could say I was surprised but I’m not.

You guys do a great job making things fun and keeping things entertaining even when we face disappointment after disappointment. The fanbase is unlucky in most ways, but lucky to have Canucks Army! Appreciate you.

  2. If I were the Leafs, I'd offer Vancouver the 1st overall for the 3rd overall, and their top 2nd round pick. And I'd draft Verhoeff…who I would anyway with the 1st overall. Needs man…needs

  3. Thanks guys for the live stream. Can’t believe it was The Leafs but the Blackfish guys are going to get pummelled with questions now about who is best to take at 3…

  4. It's ok. I am sure we will end up dead last again and get another chance next year. If we ended up dead last four years in a row, chances are we will eventually get a number one😊

  5. I'm on Vacation in Europe and watched this at 1:00 am … Should've just kept sleeping.

Canuck luck is stronger than ever. πŸ˜‘

  6. As a Leafs fan…I genuinely feel bad for you guys. I easily see how this looks like the most undeserving 1st round pick for us when we had 10 years straight of playoffs and last time we were in the lottery we got Matthews in 2016 lol.
To be fair, Leafs as an org and team are in a tailspin and plummeting and this brought life back into us, but if there is ANY team that deserves it more than us its you guys Canucks.
I genuinely wish you guys get a good pick sooner than later and I want to see Canucks be competitive again.

If anything, SHARKS absolutely FLEECED the NHL by now getting 2ND PICK on top of Celebrini. Sharks are in their golden era now, absolutely bonkers.

  7. It's all good. Here's plausible scenario if the Canucks won the lottery: McKenna and Pettersson find magic and rack up points with highlight goals. Demko comes back healthy and starts stealing games. Come mid next season the team is on the bubble of a playoff position. Aquilini steps in and tells the GM to end the rebuild. The team trades away draft picks and prospects for trade deadline rentals. The team gets into the playoff taking itself out of the Dupont lottery only to get a grand total of two home playoff games before getting bounced. So no chance at a franchise player like Dupont – heck they likely wouldn't even have their first round pick because they traded it away for a deadline rental that refuses to resign. And the mediocrity continues for a couple of years before they declare they're going into a rebuild again.
So losing this draft is the best outcome with this owner calling the shots.
