For the first time since the 2006-07 season, The Buffalo Sabres advance to the Second Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Sabres defeated the Bruins 4-1 in Game 6 to eliminate Boston. Alex Tuch broke open the scoring for the Sabres only 3:25 into the game and never lost the lead thanks to Alex Lyon who made 25 saves. Buffalo will face the winner of the Tampa Bay Montreal series
