The Montreal Canadiens take Game 3 in dramatic fashion, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in overtime at the Bell Centre and grabbing a 2-1 series lead in this first-round playoff matchup.
Lane Hutson played the hero, blasting home the OT winner just minutes into extra time to cap off another intense, back-and-forth battle between these two teams. Montreal continues to thrive in high-pressure moments, with all three games in this series going to overtime so far.
Kirby Dach and Alexandre Texier each had a goal and an assist, while Zack Bolduc chipped in with two helpers as the Canadiens’ depth continues to make a huge impact. In goal, Jakub Dobes held strong once again, making key saves to keep Montreal in it.
For Tampa Bay, Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel found the back of the net, but despite a strong performance from Andrei Vasilevskiy, the Lightning couldn’t hold off the Habs’ late push.
