The Canucks need a GM like McFarland of the Avalanche. Remember they had the worst record in 2017, but won the cup 5-6 years later.

I should mention I'm a sabres fan, I can tell you kevyn adams may be the person who built the sabres but theres a reason the crazy run they've been on started when the rumors of him being fired started. I'm convinced behind the scenes he is a terrible motivator, (Pegula definitely didn't help so not sure if the vancouver owner is any better) kevyn tends to trade away guys that aren't "his" if you look at the core pieces he traded away (middlestadt, cozens etc) they weren't the guys that he drafted. I felt sabres we constructed the past few years to be a fringe playoff team, and he will blame external issues for when the team fails(palm trees and taxes, "losing training camp" because of the global series etc.)
The 1 thing I will say is Kevin did pretty good at the teardown, the eichel and reinhart trades ended up being ok-ish but he tends to fence sit (remember 22-23 the sabres missed by 1 point and he didn't do or change anything)
Hoping kevyn stays away from the vancouver front office, he can build a team but the sabres showing how good they could be as soon as he was sent off is a clear sign something with how he operates is wrong behind the scenes
Anyone but Chiarelli, he wrecks every club. Canucks are already wrecked.

I was going to comment when they fired their GM that they should hire Kevyn Adams, but I didn't since I thought there was no chance. Canucks continue to find ways to surprise me 😂

Adams as GM, their are worse options. Even though people in buffalo wanted him gone the buffalo team in the playoffs he built, I like most of what jarmo did in columbus the players he pickup at the deadline are all in the press box.
Garth Snow for Canucks GM. He's a former Nuck goalie so familiar with the organization, and being a goalie him and Rutherford are in the "Brotherhood" together. And you know that after he's been on the job for 12 years your team will be back in the same place they were when he started, so there's a real element of stability in his work.

I've been watching the Canucks since my mid-20s, I'm in my early 40s now and I've accepted the fact that this team will never win a cup in my lifetime, or ever. No patience, no plan, no sacrifice = no cup. This city deserves a better class of ownership and management that sadly will never materialize.
