Hey @TheHockeyGuy do you watch the Stars games on Victory+?
As a Texan I can watch them for free but i don’t know if you could also.
When listening a 7:10 about how bad the commentary of ESPN, what’s your take on the Victory+ commentators?
Whoever handed Trenin that pass owes him beers for life.
Dirty dalASS with their typical bs. What an unlikeable team. Wild will spank them again
I hope the Wild takes this series. Cannot bring myself to cheer for the Stars. PTSD from Midano days 🤣😂
ty for the details!
Let’s go Stars!
Might be a homer bias, but I really thought Minnesota was the better team in the first and second periods. That first goal was just abysmal bad luck and unfortunately dug them a hole early on. The third period was probably more tilted to Dallas, and that last empty netter with Hughes putting on the brakes was just demotivating
Dallas was awful lost 6-1, minnesota was terrible, had everything go against them, bounce goal, otter lost 4-2 with an empty netter. Wont be shocked wild win 3 straight
If gus even sniffs the net its over. WALLSTEDT is the #1 goalie!!!!
Oettinger stood on his head game 2. Pretty even game but the difference was him making some massive saves especially in the first period
6:33 I really can’t stand espn announcers especially during the playoffs. Luckily first round is on local broadcasts so we keep razor around.
2 head injuries in 2 games against the Stars by the way. Super clean team.
I was hoping so much that Rantanen would score on that hackey sack play that would’ve been top 5 clutchest goals of all time
a ittle bit of throwback of what 2000's Stars – Oilers was like..
Question for everyone.: On that rescinded delay of game penalty for the Wild, how do they know the black mark on the white tape was caused by the puck and not the stick ? I don’t think that’s clear evidence to overturn the original call. Just my opinion.
Yes, some of the announcers drive me nuts with some of their comments. "This team really wants to win this game!" Well duh.
I just hit play. You better not say anything bad about my WILD
Certainly was a fast paced game yesterday. Good to see Dallas come back and capitalize on a game where the Wild pretty much shot themselves in the foot between not being careful with sticks and taking way too many penalizes. I don’t know what happened to the strategy the Wild had last game but it blew apart this game. With us losing Zook, and now Trein, Wild need to start being a little less physical and aggressive and start putting more of that energy into the puck and goal scoring. I don’t think Walstad did anything wrong he did good last night but the people in front of them need to look a back at game 1 and find that identity again for game three and beyond. Now that it shifts to St. Paul, Wild fans are going to let the Wild have it if they don’t show up and put up a fight on home ice. The fans in Minnesota this year expect results and that being a fight to the finish in round 1 against Dallas. Game 1 proves the Wild can beat them, they just need to get their identity set early. My only concern is that with what happened Gus Bus could get his first start in the playoffs this year in game 3 to give the Wild a bit of a shake up. If it was me though. Walsted still deserves the game 3 start.
A split is great for both.
If Ott keeps that level of play up the Stars are going to make very deep run
"They had to get the win tonight" 😂
I was ready to just mute the game and play some music. ESPN broadcast is painful.
Refs swallowed the whistles on Dallas and kept blowing them all night on the Wild. It was a league decision to make this game lean towards Dallas. It's just that cut and dry. It's sad to say that the league can do this, but I've seen this happen to teams for the last 2 decades.
Wild need to be concerned with the PP
Stars need to be concerned that they havent scored even strength yet.
(Yes they have the one from a wack bounce off a missed shot, that's obviously not calculated in to even strenth effectiveness)
Weird that you glossed over the circumstances around the EN goal. Appreciate your content as always.
Amen Brother, Let's go Stars ⭐⭐✨
Comment for the algo b/c we like Shannon!
Losing Zuccy hurt and it showed. Major Minny bias here but if Dallas won 4-2 and that included a fluky goal and an empty netter, and that was the best effort they could do at home in a nasty environment…Minnesota should right the ship at home. Their opportunities were just far better all night long as long as players keep their heads.
Thx hockey guy. Espn is dreadful covering hockey, just awful… 🤮
Shame on dallas fans for cheering that injury 2 head injuries in 2 games shows that dallas is trying to deliberately cause injuries. Also if dallas fans weren't cheering the injury why did they get louder when the whistle was blown and he was still on the ground. Also they didn't clap when he got on his feet. They were cheering that he got hurt.
