I totally agree on the Greene take , I believe Moore and Greene will be important guys on our next good team. Probably on the bottom 6 but I dont see any other prospect knocking those 2 out of a job. Could be in a trade package but I think they stay put
Yea, I think you hyped Nazar a little too soon – but I don't think you're wrong – it will just be a couple more years before you're right, lol.. And I can totally see it…. With all things considered Frank Nazar is already terrific and he has plenty of room to grow – obviously he'll get even better as he becomes more comfortable with the NHL and finds his true role and rhythm on this team, however unfortunately I think he's going to be one of those guys – much like Patrick Sharp – that's consistently underrated and is constantly shadowed by the better payers on the team like Bedard, Frondell etc, but sometimes that's the way it goes when your team is stacked.. Either way he will be and potentially is now a legitimate league-wide top 6 forward, I mean the skills and talent are there but sadly he's just not going to have as much name recognition as others or be in the conversation for awards when he should be.. Ignorant hockey fans will say "the Hawks are stacked bro, anyone can do that playing with those guys" so he will never get the props he deserves from anyone but Hawks fans.. And honestly it's frustrating to see that when it happens..
Honestly you fix the passing and add any kind of physicality to this team and they could make a decent jump with the roster from last year. Hopefully with some additions like Kantserov and a trade or two and they could take an even bigger step than last year.
For the 'nay-sayers' and 'doomers' – what exactly is a team comprised of almost exclusively 20-23-year olds supposed to look like in the NHL? I mean I would say icing a team that young is unprecedented, but it's not – it happens occasionally and that's usually what that looks like.. So I don't know what these doomers are talking about or what they expect… I get it, the casual fans and younger fans want to see winning hockey – I do too – but these kids need to develop and that takes time…. I can ASSURE ALL HAWKS FANS that Kyle Davidson is going to make a significant trade or two this summer and that shouldn't require foreshadowing – because NOW is the time to do that – to bring in this generations "Marian Hossa" – so I would expect the Hawks will be chasing a playoff spot or be in the mix for a playoff spot next season..

Disappointment imo. Rebuild started before San Jose and we're behind. Not enough prospects took a jump. Bedard is progressing fine for a #1 pick but looks like Jack Hughes tier and not Celebrini like we were told. Frondell looks exceptional. Nazar good season. Levshunov horrific, Boisvert couldn't even crack PPG in his D+2 in college. Korchinski looks like a bust. Rinzel and Vlasic regressed hard.
Spencer Knight is a bright spot. We're not getting the Panthers pick so it'll be like 27 next year which sucks. This draft is so/so, don't think it matters if we get 1 2 3 or even 4. Stenberg McKenna aren't even Leo Carlsson or Frondell level. Wouldn't mind Chase Reid or Smits.
I think we are a little too down on Frank I still think this guy can be our 2c on a cup winning team, he is elite he came back from the injury too soon but he looked great when healthy. But the main thing to me is if these young guys don’t come back in the fall with 10-15 pounds of muscle they start the season in Rockford. Just dead stop WE HAVE TO GET STRONGER

If Vlasic being a top line LHD is the best they can do on the blue line, then this team is cooked.
An elite 2C unlocks so many possibilities for this team. I think it’s the top acquisition priority. Next would be a physical, defensively strong LHD.
