Avalanche forward Logan O’Connor’s goal is immediately waved off and remains no goal following a challenge for Jared Bednar, keeping Game 1 between Colorado and the Kings scoreless.

Go kingsssss
Go Kings Go!
Not a kings or Colorado fan but LETS GO FLYERS!!
Can we please for the love of god determine what goalie interference is and isnt??? He gets dumped into forsberg by a king ffs
Doughty is the reason the contact was made with the goalie. This should have been a good goal. Avs vs refs
Right Call he interfered with the Goalie. Nobody pushed him in, he decided to skate in between them.
Trash call. Forced into the goalie by Doughty.
From my vantage point, Doughty was purposely backing into Drury's path to the goal. Drury has as much of a right to unoccupied space (not in the crease) as anyone else. When a defenseman initiates the contact that directly causes the alleged goalie interference, and a goal is disallowed as a result, the refs are creating an incentive structure whereby defensemen almost have to initiate contact around the net and try to get opponents to hit their goalie. That is unfair, in my view.
Lets Go Solar Bears
My take is that if they had allowed that goal, it would open a can of worms where offensive players would initiate contact with the defending player and cause a collision with goalies to gain an advantage.
By the way Avs are up 1-0 now. They did a proper goal now. So this non goal is irrelevant now.
Any chance any Zebra at all can take questions after the game. DOUGHTY BUMPED DRURY INTO HIM, HOW IS THAT DRURY'S FAULT?!
That was a 💩 call, it should of counted
In what universe is that goalie interference?
As the cases of goaltender interference go, this was pretty clear-cut.
so now defenders just have to push or trip a player into their goalies to save goal against….. like the stupid penalty on MacKinnon against the Oilers where he was pushed into Jarry by dumdum Nurse.
Good call !
Avs have some of the most delusional fans i stg.
IMO it's a good call on the ice: Doughty doesn't actively participate in checking Drury, so it's more incidental contact than anything between those two. Both are skating into the same area of play, one is skating backwards to close of the middle of the ice, the other is cutting in higher to avoid hitting the goalie. Neither really checks the other, so thats incidental, which then causes the incidental contact on the goalie, and it's no goal and no penalty on Drury. The only bad call here was from either the video room for the Avalanche that advised Bednar, or the Head Coach himself if he made the call.
horrible call.
2 minutes Doughty for either tripping or interference was the right call.
Kadri will run him soon
BS. Defencemen pushed him in
WTF Doughty clearly pushed him in
As someone who despises LA, its the right call… Colorado player passes LA's Defence-man and then back tracks into his direct lane knowing full well contact would be made. In other words. The Colorado player KNEW he was going to be hit and then played the ping pong game.
Why is this even a video? Is the NHL going to make a video on every call in every game this postseason? C'mon man….
Good goal to me, puck don’t lie, he’s faster and beats him to the spot, they both have the same right to the ice. He shouldn’t be punished for being the better skater, doughty needs to realize and play for the block rather than play the ping pong game, whole point of defense is to not let players get behind you!! He lost and initiated the contact which wasn’t even in the crease and ended up costing the goalie! Good goal.
For the record, I'm rooting against both of these teams.
The LA defenseman is looking the opposite direction and entitled to his ice & skating lane, the Avs player cuts across that lane and makes contact with the LA d-man, resulting in him then going into the goaltender.
The contact between Avs forward and LA d-man is incidental (neither are at fault), thus when the Avs player made contact with the goaltender; who was established in his crease; he prevented him from playing his position. This would be the same as the Avs guy slipping and sliding into the goalie, he chose the path.
This is no goal.
Defensemen is playing his position. It’s Drury’s responsibility to not make contact into the goalie. He pinched himself into that position.
This certainly could have been a goal
Go Habs Go
This should count. Nobody is entitled to ice, otherwise hockey is a non-contact sport where players cant defend because "thats his ice, no skating in his path otherwise your bad." Both players are doing their jobs, doughty skates back to defend, and drury crashing for a rebound and eventually is mohawk turning (basically when he gets on both inside edges to make a sharp turn) away from forsberg to avoid contact. Both happen to bump each other, and drurys path is altered into the goalie. Both do not mean to make contact with anyone, but since hockey is a literal battle for inches on an ice sheet, plays like this happen. For reference, go back to kadri in 2022. Is he trying to hit binner? No. Is a defenseman playing defense? Yes. Is kadri trying to score? Yes. Both happen to cross paths and binner gets injured in a play where ice is battled for. But no call then, so why change it for a play with less impact?
That mfkr was so biased against my Avs all night it made me sick. What a loser
no goal was the perfect call
I'm an avs fan but I have to reluctantly agree that this is the right call
Bruh who got the refs you suck chant started. Drury was checked into the goalie now Drury targeted the goalie
