I'm thinking we need one more goal. We should be shopping for a superstar who can give that to us.
First, 50 games played for Guimond is more than 3x what he played regular season (16 x 3 = 48) last year. Additionally, there's another tendy in Toledo who played very well for limited games in GR and is a star goalie in the ECHL – Carter Gylander. So in all, that's at least 5 goalie prospects that the Red Wings have.
Im fully behind shipping Larkin off.
Wings need to leverage either Cossa or Augustine plus Danielson for a 2C. They may have to ride out Copps last year but i give picks to get rid of Compher. They need some aggression and phyiscality in their bottom six. They cant keep Kane if they dont have a physical C with some size on his line. They are tough, they dont hit and they arent physical enough. D corps and goaltending are fairly set next year. Forwards need massive changes and improvements though most of that should be to the bottom six.
When Larkin became captain I said that he will not win Stanley Cup with Wings unless he is traded to a real contender. Because Wings couldn't win before and will not win the cup for another 10 years or more….
i have some questions about cossa's play, he reminds me of Jimmy 5 hole, but Augustine, Guimond and Postava makes me excited. I think you need to take a chance. Dylan James and Max Plante may be what we need as well. I think Raymond will be gone, makes no sense for Larkin to leave. A 30 goal scorer?
