I think there’s a little bit too much emphasis put on the captain roll. It’s a little absurd for me. You can’t jump up and down and expect guys to just turn around and play. They’re gonna play if they wanna play if they don’t wanna play you’re gonna see the results no matter what he says no matter what he does it’s up to the individual. It’s not up to the captain to make these guys go out and play better. The same thing with the coach get a grip people understand what their role is.

How dumb to ask DeBrincat and Larkin what needs to change for next year. They should parade the jerseys in front of the media and ask them why they had only 20 hits all season and less than 10 goals. Those are the guys who need to explain what needs to change.

Stevie, go get larkin a left winger { alex laferriere } get debrincrat and kane a center {mason mactavish}, reshape that bottom six, 92 pts is an improvement. couple more pts and youre in. u have the prospects to make the deals.
They need to find four or five 20-25 goal scorers, or four to five guys on the current roster need to score five more goals each. They don’t have enough 20-25 goal scoring players on their current roster. That my friends is killing them.
This team, despite the “jerseys”, held the #1 and #2 spot in the hardest division in the league for 3 months of the season. The jerseys need to go. Another really good center is needed. Top line power forward is needed. Bottom 6 needs to get younger, bigger, faster and physical. They’re close. They would’ve been in the playoffs easily in the Western Conference. Try and keep it real. The mental thing will come.
