I am 34, I remember the magical days and I lived through the brutal days. This team is my life. That fact that we are back hits hard. I was starting to think I wouldn't see it with my parents ever again. Losing Rj hurt alot, But we are back and I will be there with my family tomorrow! The magic is back and the Better Days are here. I'm 38, i was graduating from high school in 05-06 and trying to do my Finals during that run was almost impossible! my first memory of Buffalo hockey was the May Day goal in 1993. So much great hockey all my life and then 14 years of Hell, I'm so glad its finally over! Let's Go Buff-A-Lo!!!!!!
That was a nice video..Playoffs were automatic for us winning a title was always out of reach ..but I never imagined we never had an opportunity for 14 years of no playoffs..
I am so proud of this group of guys. They could have easily just tanked after the horrible start and said, "Maybe next year." But they communicated with each other and just flipped a switch. It really seemed it was that easy. The second half of the Season has been so much fun, not just for me as a fan, but to see the guys on the ice playing with smiles on their faces as the fans that fill up the Arena cheer with all the passion they have been building up for over a decade, but never had a chance to express. Win or lose, I promise you the fans will be louder than at any other Arena this Playoff Season. We love our Sabres, and are so excited to give them all WE have to help them make it as far as they can. Let's Go Buffalo! ⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔
I was 16 when they made it in 2011 and I couldn't grow a beard. Now I'm 31 and I have white hairs in my beard.
I watched every game from 12 through 21 shortly after eichel left. Every game.all 82. Im sad I gave up on them and didn't stick it out. Im back.
As a 22 year old girl and lifelong Sabres fan, I obviously don’t remember every game during those mid 2000s runs, but I remember playoff parties with my family back then and I remember the energy that the team brought. This team brought back that energy and we couldn’t be happier here💙💛
