Neat Conversations – Mike Callahan – The Booming, Vocal Bronco with the Iconic Mullet

Dominic walks Bronco greats through a top-shelf bourbon tasting while the legends share anecdotes and stories from their time at Boise State and their careers after Boise State.
Neat Conversations is ecstatic to welcome Mike Callahan to the show! Michael Callahan was a three-star Defensive Line prospect from Yorba Linda High School in Yorba Linda, California when he joined the Broncos in 2019. Mike made his Boise State debut his Freshman year at BYU on October 19th. His RS Freshman year he played in all 7 games (COVID year) and was honored on the Academic All-Mountain West team and as a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete. Callahan stepped into a bigger role his RS Sophomore year and made his first career start against Air Force. He recorded 12 tackled, including a season-high five tackles, on the year and was again honored on the Academic All-Mountain West team and as a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete. Mike’s excellence on and off the field would continue through his next three years on the Boise State Football team. The next three years he played in 39 games and finished his career with 56 total tackles, 4 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, 1 pass deflection and 1 blocked punt. Mike also finished his career with an impressive academic career, he is a 2x National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society honoree, a 3x College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, a 5x Academic All-Mountain West honoree and a 4x Mountain West Scholar-Athlete. Mike graduated with his Master’s degree in Business Administration.
