  1. Neither team was expected to be here when the season started. Most thought Boston had fallen-back and that Buffalo would NEVER get it together. Then Boston rose from the dead like their goal song and something FINALLY clicked in Buffalo. Bs have punched far above their weight all year and Buffalo hasn't slowed down once they got going. Sabers in 7, but they're going to be too beat-up to do much in the 2nd round VS the Habs…

  2. Let’s Go Buffalo! I was at the “fog game” in 75 and at game 3 in 99. This is our year!
Make us proud boys. Go Sabres!

  3. The Sabres had difficulties with the Bruins in the regular season. It will be interesting to see if that continues in the playoffs. I'll take a chance and say that won't continue. I expect a decent series, but I'll pick the Sabres being the homer that I am. Sabres in 5 or 6. And I think if they win this series, they'll make it to the Eastern Conference finals. Otherwise, the story ends here for this season.

I think Lindy Ruff isn't just a good coach, I think he's a great coach. And he's never had the offensive skill that this team possesses. I wish we had our complete roster available to us. We're going to be without our #1 center, and our #4 center and the guy we traded for to replace the #4 center. Our rookie(Ostlund) that was having a break out season is also hurt. He may play, think he will. There are some hurdles to overcome. But I think the team will buy in to Lindy's plan and do it.

  4. Shannon, if Boston getting 100 pts is magic, Buffalo getting 109 is Gandalf and Harry Potter on a hot rod riding a rainbow to Valhalla

  5. Speed and skill favors the Sabres. But physical grind it out game favors Bruins. Playoff hockey tends to lean towards the latter as the Leafs know all too well. I also think goaltending favors the Bruins. I think the Bruins score the mild upset and win in 6 games.

  6. Let’s Go Buff-a-lo🦬 This will be a great series. Both the B’s and the Sabres are having better years than expected. Roam Hockey (Buffalo) and Low Quality Bruins Fan (Boston) are good YouTube channels for fans. 716 is back in the mix✔️

  7. These stats don't matter against the rest of the league – we've got to break down buffalo stats versus man on man physical heavy teams like Bruins and hurricanes.
Both of those teams won their season series versus Buffalo.
Sabres have not won in Boston this season.

Last October the Bruins were bringing in the new man on man structure. While Buffalo was putting together their 1-3-1 neutral zone trap. So both teams were under construction.

And it was Korpisalo who covered three out of four games winning two out of three. The game he lost was during the Bruins holiday slump.

The majority of Bruins fans out of New England are wannabes. Especially the mass holes who have never played hockey in any form, have no idea how to lace up.

They trashed the puck out of this team, and were absolutely relentless to those of us who said Bruins would not be missing playoffs 2 seasons in a row.

They have no idea that Bruins changed to a man on man system, no clue how difficult that is, They refuse to listen to players, the coach, even Patrice Bergeron explaining the system.

they have no knowledge of hockey.

Most don't even play any sports.
It's Bruins nation that rules. Those are the best Boston fans, and that's why there are so many Canadian Bruins fans. And no, they did not defect. They've been lifelong.

Whether you like it or not, this is playoffs. The refs put their whistles away.

Neely announced at the beginning of the season that they were building a "piss and vinegar" team.
Boston can use their physicality to break up Sabres' 1-3-1 neutral zone trap.

    Bruins in 6

  8. Bruins need to win games on the road if they are going to go far in these playoffs. Should be fun

  9. Excellent analysis. Very balanced as usual which I love. I'm a Sabres guy since its creation so no news there that i'm already on the moon, but i am REALLY looking forward to whats coming!! Team looks really good and those extra days of rest till G1 is also a bonus.

  10. Seems like the Bruins had more injuries than the Sabres, at least based on the players listed here. Hardly any full seasons for the Bruins, most for the Sabres.

  11. Boston might have better powerplay percentage numbers on the year, but hoo boy their PP has been hot garbage since the Olympic break

  12. All the B's need to do is split one of the first games in Buffalo. B's finished as the second best home team in the league and we're #1 for a stretch. Buffalos roster has no playoff experience and B's beat them 3 of 4 times this year. Their nerves will end up getting the best of them. As soon as Kastelic and Zadorov start pounding them they will be singing a different tune.

  13. The bruins 4th line is their secret weapon, I think. They are easily capable of forcing o-zone time and killing d-zone time, laying big hits and they can score a goal here and there.

  14. Sabres fans are sleeping on Bruins. We have had an amazing year. This core(Sabres) has finally shown the potential we all felt they had a few years ago . However, young teams who haven't experienced a playoff series usually are "in for a rude awakening". The Bruins are definitely going to try and push them around. I hope the Sabres can weather the storm and use their speed to make Bruins pay

  15. Buffalo's lack of playoff history will end up being their demise in this series. They say you need to learn how to lose before you learn how to win in the NHL playoffs.

  16. Lindy has found a way to connect his old school hockey with the younger generations, and we see the result on the ice

  17. Tuch is staying. Both sides have said a few times that now is not the time to talk about it but they have a mutual understanding and when the time is right they will work it out. There is zero animosity, they are both saying the exact same things and none of it is an excuse or at least it doesn't seem to be excuses

  18. Boston has a top goalie and one top line, Buffalo's goalie may not be as good but can roll 3 lines and has way better players on defense, Dahlin being a Norris trophy candidate. Watched both teams Buffalo comes in waves with their speed can be a machine, Boston goes as their goalie goes,

  19. Buffalo is the protagonist for this playoffs, followed by Montreal. They have a lot of heart and they're easy to root for, the cup needs to return to real hockey fans.
