Sens fan here. This is going to be a close one. Canes deff with an edge however slight it may be but man….if Sens play like they have been in the past 20 games or so Canes are in for a war.

I hope Sens in 7 games. That Carolina first round home record since 2019 is quite impressive.. Sens need to steal at least 1 to 2 games in Raleigh to win this series.

I wanna believe as a Sens fan, however i see this as either anothed six or maybe seven game exit most likely. But if its seven, a seven game series is often one moment or one bounce from going the other way so maybe just maybe we get that bounce

Canes fan here. I think Carolina will win the series, but expect it to go seven games. I'm hoping we can show some love for Ullmark and his personal battles. Mental health over hockey games.

Canes are too deep. 7 (almost 8 with Taylor Hall…) 20 goal scorers. Ottawa has some skill and grit but frankly, I don't think they have a chance against this extremely well-coached and incredibly deep Carolina team.
Sens are 9th overall in the league. Its a massive downplay to call em the 8th seed.

Every Carolina fan knows that Rod is going to start Andersen and he's going to play every game to their detriment. Freddie was in the starters crease today. I know it makes no sense but that's Rod for you. He only trusts veterans. Also martinook plays way too much. Any Carolina fan will tell you that as well
There won't be many whistles in these games. Periods will go by quickly.

Can't just post the full season PK numbers in Ottawa without the full context. Ottawa spent the first 4 months of the season in the 32 spot putting up garbage numbers. They switched the assistant coaches' jobs around and put Mike Yeo in charge of the PK in late January, and the numbers in the games since have been much much better. Just looking at since the switch happened, Ottawa's PK has been something like 7th or 6th in the league, but the numbers were so abysmal before Yeo took over that season-long they still just look crummy.

Some do see the Canes as a paper tiger this season. The Habs have exposed they do have trouble with rushes at times. Also, their defense depth is okay, but likely not as good as previous seasons as Burns and Orlov left.

With regards to Carolina's goalie, I have a funny feeling that rod will stick with Andersen even though Bussi is better and the team plays better in front of him. Rod has blind loyalty for "veterans"

Ottawa is a real underdog in this series. Still think they have a chance but it will be based on goaltending. Ullmark has to play to his fullest potential.
Have seen a lot of Carolina pundits writing off the Sens completely and looking at facing Crosby next round.
