I liked it too. The Avs shootout lineup was… stacked. Not to say that McDavid-Nuge-Ros wasn’t a challenging set of players for Wedgewood to defend against (even though I have a good feeling Hyman could have buried one here), but Necas-Nichushkin-MacKinnon is probably among the hardest series of shootout opponents any goalie could face. I don’t blame Ingram there. If Roslovic had elevated over a pad, he would probably have scored. But that’s the folly of the shootout. I know Ingram watched the tape lord knows how many times to watch those guys’ moves after the SO loss. I have total faith in the guy. He’s really been a genius tender at a time when the team needed one the most. And given that shootouts aren’t in the playoffs, nothing will be left to chance. Ingram will rise to the occasion.
