I’ve been reading in the chat that the San Jose Sharks are better than the Blackhawks because they began their rebuild a year before the Blackhawks. That simply isn’t the case. With both GMs hired in 2022, Mike Grier has built a better team and they have the generational player in Celebrini that the Hawks thought they were getting in Bedard.
I really tired of seeing the endless coping mechanisms being dreamed up by Hawks fans.
The real generational pick happened a year later
Blashill is a horrible coach. burakovsky gets moved up for some reason; first thing that happens is Bedard gets double teamed into the boards and burakovsky skates again like hes on the maple leafs. Bertuzzi and Donato obvious linemates after the break, win board battle, get possession, go to the front of the net, bedard shoot. PP is horrible after teams figured out the back door play between Bertuzzi and Bedard. Frondell, Bertuzzi, Donato, slot, front off net, Bedard left corner board, D man that has the best slap shot.
Listen whenever something goes wrong in Edmonton oilers or Toronto maple leafs…we somewhat blame and criticize Connor Mcdavid and Austin Mathews…..so if something goes wrong in Chicago Blackhawks…. Connor bedard will be criticize too…. because no one care what Green have done but everyone cares what bedard have done ….he have to take this responsibility and be that guy.

Artemis Levshunov sent to the moon, Clankerkovsky being the robot on ice, Bedard asleep at the wheel, Rinzel also in space, looks like everyones done with the season except Bert and Miky.
I hope the line choices were non playoff experimental decisons to confirm things suck.

Jay you've been saying for weeks this can't be the lineup next year but who do you suggest they go out and get? Mathew Knies or Robert Thomas and one veteran defenseman don't really change the makeup of the team that much. How many prospects and draft picks are you willing to give up to make a meaningful difference? There's nobody to sign so it would have to be all done through trade and a team like Toronto isn't going to want picks and prospects who have never played in the NHL. You're looking at giving up guys like Levshunov, Rinsel, Nazar, Greene, Vlasic, Crevier, Frondell, Knight, etc. to get teams interested in trading with you. Does that really make the team better next year? Plus you trade all those guys and now you're in the same spot two years from now with another group of NHL prospect newbies like Spellacy, Vanacker, Gajan, Kantserov. The only way out is patience you have no other good options unfortunately. They're either going to figure it out or they're not but that's the reality of where they're at.
Get rid of Connor Bedard
If Kyle make the moves this summer we expect him to make and this team struggles out of rhe gate between hope Bruce Cassidy is there still on the market (doubtful) because the move should be made.
While I understand where you guys are coming from on Bedard you can't criticize Toronto fans and media for years for putting too much pressure on the Leafs and then spend 10 minutes doing your best Steve Dangle impersonation and expect nobody to call it out.
Going back to when Luke Richardson was coaching the Hawks there has been a lack of shots on goal and an excess of passing the puck instead of shooting. That seems like a cultural problem, all we heard about Bedard before he was drafted was boy his shot is amazing, he’s a big shooter and he gets drafted by the Hawks and becomes a big passing guy. Celebrini drags the Sharks into the fight but Bedard doesn’t do that. When the NHL talking heads were comparing those two guys I was thinking Bedard is going to take another step forward and make them eat their words but he’s proven the point that Celebrini is a better player.
Wow. This team is terrible. Fourth straight year of bottom 3 finish. What a disgrace. Chicago has 2 of the worst franchises in sports. White sox and blackhawks

Bedard plays hard every night. Period. You don’t reverse check a guy like he did if you don’t care. KD needs to find him one decent player. Young team has hit the wall. I’m not worried.

You could see how this game would end up miles away. Bonus is we actually scored a goal thanks to a great SH play.. other than that I predicted Sabres would score 5 and we would get perhaps 15 shots, and lo and behold what happened.
Greg I think you’re right, they should play with pride and try to win one hockey game, however I predict a full blowout loss, maybe 7-3. This team under this coach is not capable of winning a hockey game.
