To me, two possibilities occured in this video that resulted in Kreider not wanting to fight:
1. The feeling of guilt after the cross check 2. Not expecting a fight.
Either way, knowing Kreider, he would have had no problems taking on Kelly. It's very hard to be on the defending end of an onslaught when the attacker is full of adrenaline, especially if he attacks or jumps you first. Not a good indicator on the fighting skills of either players, it was just Kelly jumping Kreider: simple as that.
