Nick Suzuki 100 Points! First Habs Player Since 1986 | Habs News

Nick Suzuki made history tonight! The Montreal Canadiens captain reached 100 points in a single season — the first Canadiens player to do that since Mats Naslund in 1986. Forty years of waiting and Suzuki delivered in style with 2 assists in a dominant 4-1 win over the New York Islanders — including 3 goals in just 55 seconds!

But the night belonged to more than just Suzuki. Lane Hutson tied Larry Robinson for most assists by a defenseman in a single season in Canadiens history. Rookie David Reinbacher got called up from Laval and scored his first NHL point in his very first NHL game. Cole Caufield sits at 51 goals. Slafkovsky at 30 goals and 73 points. The first line alone has 282 points this season — 110 goals and 172 assists.
