The Red Wings and their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, have signed 3 players to contracts for the upcoming 2026-27 season. What does this mean for the future of the organization? Are they planning on graduating more guys next season? Or do they plan to trade some for immediate help?

  1. larkin has two 5 on 5 goals since december. 3 5 on 5 points in 2026 alone. he’s the biggest reason for us missing the playoffs.

  2. There’s a reason Shine has been a minor leaguer his whole career. He’s not a NHL regular. Never will be. Watson can’t skate worth a dam. This team needs an injection of young energy not career AHL players.

  3. Detroit finished where they should. Their Eastern Conference lead or being top 3 was smoke and mirrors. They aren't a very good team, Gibson held them into so many games. They have good pieces, but they have a severe lack of supporting cast players.
