Rag fans always display that sense of entitlement for the best guys. Yeah, Tkchuck ONLY wants to go to the Drury-led Rangers, the GM who completely screwed up a President Trophy winner only two years ago. This isn't Fox, Trouba, and Panarin. Times are much different. Here we go again … Ok, we'll trade them a 1st rounder, Chytil and Victor Mancini … oh wait, never mind. He has 2 years remaining on his contract, not sure the Sens will feel any urgency to make a deal even if Brady asks for a trade. Plus, the goal here is to get ANOTHER Top 6 forward to add to mix, exchanging Top 6 guys doesn't really move the needle too far — a trade like this to have a real impact needs to be an addition because a slight bump just won't cut it. This is where draft capital and an unproven quality prospect get used, unfortunately that surely isn't what the Sens want or need right now.

I do think Brady wants to play in the States, I do. But, unless the Sens lay an egg in the playoffs again, I don't think he is ready to demand a trade. As for Drew, it is absolutely the offer sheet and salary Arb, that is a huge factor and this is not the first (or last) player they did this to, it has nothing to do with 80 grand. I can't recall who it was they did it to (maybe Cuylle), but they did it to a young guy fairly recently… maybe 4-5 seasons ago, it is not all that uncommon.

The Fortescue move, its just business. I dont think they cared about the bonus, just the technical aspects.
Fortescue is a defenseman! His msin role is to prevent points being scored and chip in a point or two when possible. His absence could've been why we lost yesterday in Dallas.
