The Detroit Red Wings’ season is over… and it’s a tough reality to face.
Since the beginning of the year, Dylan Larkin had one goal—to lead this team back to the playoffs. Today, that goal falls short. For the 10th straight season, the Red Wings will miss the postseason, and it’s a difficult moment for the captain, the team, and the fans.
March once again proved costly. Momentum built throughout the season slipped away at the worst possible time, and it ultimately sealed Detroit’s fate.
But this isn’t about tearing the team down.
This is about taking a step back and acknowledging the disappointment… while also recognizing what’s ahead.
Moritz Seider continues to establish himself as one of the top defensemen in the NHL, and the next wave of young talent is getting closer to making a real impact. The foundation is there. The future is still bright.
Today hurts—but better days are coming.

Justin Faulk is a bright spot ..The Defenseman we have are going to be even better next year .
The future looks brighter for Montreal,Boston, Buffalo and Ottawa to be honest. Larkin is going to be 33 before the last couple drafts really get started. This prospect pool has been overrated. The last 2-3 years might turn out to be good drafts overall but unless Plante turns into something special they’ll still be looking for elite talent. Kasper and Danielson have to turn out to be substantially better than Copp and Compher. Rasmussen has to go. It’s looking like another meh year unless some real changes are made this offseason. There’s no fine tuning this roster and the culture they have right now.

Unless Raymond can return to form and by that I mean driving a line like he did last season I would offer him up for a 1 or 2 C, he is the only piece they have of value enough to go after a 1 or 2 C that can potentially be replaced, Free agent market is not looking stellar so they will need to do something like that in order to really move the needle otherwise the team is going to look much the same next year with Jerseys replacing Jerseys.
Finally, a YouTuber who doesn’t use clickbait and rip apart the Wings. This way a very good year for the Wings. Nobody had them in a playoff position at the start of the year and yet they were… Nice video.
