Grow the fuck up. Going after someone when you have no clue what happened is absolutely asinine. Now, once they find out and still donât react, by all metrics, thatâs a shitty culture. But going after someone just because a teammate is hurt is absurdly stupid and also an opinion showing evidence that youâve never been dealt with.
Matthews deserves better. The Leafs showed how weak they are, and I hope Matthews finds his way to a real team.

I think the problem goes both ways the locker room dosent respect Matthewâs as captain and he dosent respect them as teammates. When the leafs got eliminated by the Panthers he immediately throws his teammates under the bus by giving an immature comment about how there was too many passengers in a game he went pointless. As a captain you donât throw your teammates under the bus even if he felt that way you donât air it to the media you address it in the locker room, the room needs a real heart to heart between Matthewâs and the rest of the room to clear grievances.

By far the most toxic and abusive media are the ones covering the leafs.

As a Canadian we were bitter about the Gold loss but watching Matthewâs performance leading, made me think we had a chance of greatness but obviously the team thinks otherwise there is too much jealousy between the team as a whole nylander comes off like â thank fuck he got hurtâ because they despise and envy him. This is the kind of moment that breaks the relationship between a player and a city. I would be shocked if Matthews doesn't privately (or even publicly) request a trade.
