Think doug has right about how hard it is to get that sweet spot to be a cup team for many seasons. Look at calgary couple years ago. They looked like a team that could win. Before them the sens went to the semi final 7th game vs pens. Then vancouver was rising and falling apart again. Seems suprising both oilers and leafs could be good over a longer period. But it now continues with leafs downfall.
Are we sure the canadiens will use that wave now to be a contender for 3-5 years? Im sadly not sure. Cus its hasnt happen allt the way for 🇨🇦 teams. There are always american teams that suddenly appear and steal players and get on a hot streak…
