  1. As a one-time Leaf fan – I gave up on them a long time ago – I think it's fantastic that the Sabres are finally breaking into the playoffs.

No one can project whether they'll be successful or not, but just the fact that they're they made it this far is testament to their new energy. Congratulations, Lindy Ruff and his team!

  2. I agree with Steve that a retool is better than a rebuild, and that rebuilds always fail. Just look at how badly the Montreal Canadiens' rebuild is going…

  3. The problem with rebuilds was fine, picking up Eichel, Reinhart and ROR all 3 were cup winners later, all capable players, the major problem was Buffalo could offer more money and nobody would come there, the owner offered more money 120 mill each to Suter and Parise and both picked Minnesota. The owner made wrong Gm choices, Adams built this team but still could not get any players to come to help, he traded for Necas but he refused to sign in Buffalo so trade was cancelled. We just had to wait for all the great draft picks to develop.

  4. Adams did a great job with team, contracts, trades, his only problem was lack of bringing in free agents or high end players with no move clauses…Jarmo found out the hard way at the deadline that players won’t waive to come to Buffalo. Adams is a way better GM that Toronto had last 4 seasins

  5. i went to the last home playoff game losing to the Flyers in game six, then lost in Philly in game 7 getting crushed. Sabres had 3-1 lead at home & lost in OT.

  6. Listen, I get it – the outro helps. But if I have to get jump scared by Steve while I'm driving or working I may have a heart attack. It's nearly a trauma response now. Love the channel!

  7. I get being happy your club won Stanley cups, But when said cups were won between 1918 – 1967. Using it as a boost to your NHL self esteem is wild…

  8. Rick Jeanneret was the greatest announcer in the history of any sport and I'll die on that hill.
Anyway, if u do a show about the 05-08 era Sabres… I won't have to scream into the internet void about how positively sick they were anymore!

  9. need 2 hours to break it down? sabres fans have been breaking it down for a decade fam. we are out the other end, let it be

  10. Tim Murray burned the team down beyond being an NHL team in his quest for McDavid! I totally agree about retooling vs doing a rebuild. Never burn the boats in a quest for a draft pick!!!

  11. Hearing Adams treats people based on how he perceives you now makes a lot of sense when you look at his press conferences. There was always this air of arrogance that he didn’t earn.

  12. RICK JEANNERET IS A NATIONAL TREASURE AND SIMPLY THE GREATEST GOD DAMN HOCKEY ANNOUNCER TO EVER LIVE! SPECIAL TALENT. MADE EVERY GAME FEEL LIKE AN EXPERIENCE. THE CALLS, THE NICKNAMES, THE CREATIVITY WAS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO MATCH. ITS WHY I HAVE HIS NAME ON MY JERSEY. LEGEND FOREVER! 💙💛🤍🦬

  13. If Reinhart was a swing and a miss then so was Cozens. Both were traded for the same reasons. In truth, neither are a swing and a miss because both have justified their draft position with their level of play, and there are players the Sabres got back in trade that are still in play. Cozens COULD end up falling in to that failed pick category if Norris' injury issues remain a permanent issue in his career. As for Reinhart, it will hinge on Devon Levi and Kulich. Kulich unfortunately lost the year due to blood clot issues, but performance-wise everything was trending the way you want, and he has a high ceiling. And IF Devon Levi can reach his ceiling and do it with the Sabres then the Sabres have nothing to complain about.

  14. 14:50 It was more than just a click, a team he was on finally allowed him to play the skilled goal-scorer game he should've been playing instead of trying to force him in to a power forward role. The Blues and then the Sabres early on look at his height and said "power forward" and that's what he was expected to be. He was tall but not filled-out and his ability and inclination leaned towards skilled goal-scorer, not dictating play with physical play. Once he was put in his proper place he instantly flourished. Now he's older and more filled out and can handle more physicality but the straight-up power forward game is not his game.

  15. Someone tell them that despite all of this , since the 04 lockout they still have more playoff wins than Toronto
